NDIS Participants

An extraordinary, NDIS-supported journey into nature, culture, and holistic learning — for children with additional needs and their families.

We want to keep the Ubud Family Experience accessible to the wider community so if your child (5–14) is a Participant of the Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), they too can have the opportunity to attend this  a one-of-a-kind, six-night immersive family "retreat-camp" in Bali. Much more than a camp, this is a culturally rich, emotionally nourishing and ethically grounded experience for children and families seeking something truly meaningful outside the limitation of Australian society.

A Rare Opportunity: Education Meets Adventure

Your child will spend each weekday at the world-renowned Empathy School, a nature-based, Steiner–Montessori international school serving children from Kindergarten to Middle School
(ages 5–14).

Set amongst the lush rice paddies of Ubud, Empathy School is led by internationally recognised holistic educators, offering a learning experience that weaves together emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, creative expression and outdoor exploration.
And the best part? Your child’s experience may be fully covered by their NDIS plan.

Please note:

Wheelchairs and children with significant mobility challenges will not be suited to attend due to the terrain and mobility requirements.

Flights, personal travel to/from the accommodation and all expenses outside the accommodation are not NDIS-funded and are your responsibility.
